The Cafe' is the perfect place to meet up with family and friends for some refreshments after you’ve explored the fort.

Our seasonal menu always has a selection of freshly prepared light meals to savour. And why not treat yourself to one of our delicious cakes or muffins with your freshly brewed tea or barista-style coffee.

There are special offers and discounts for groups of 10 people or more.

We offer reduced admission for group bookings if you pre-book. Meal deals and discounts on audio guides are also available (subject to availability).
Getting here
By Bus
Fort Rinella is well served by bus no.3 to Kalkara from Valletta main station. It stops right outside its main gate. The frequency of this bus is every half hour from Monday to Saturday.
By Car
Fort Rinella is located on the eastern side of the Grand Harbour at Kalkara. It can be reached via all major roads to Cottonera (Three Cities) onto Kalkara following directional signs from Kalkara.
Opening times
We are open on Saturdays from 10.00 until 16.30 except on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Last admission is at 16.00
Guided tours & Film shows
A visit to Fort Rinella includes a guided tour and a film show about the history of the historic fort and its 100-ton gun. All historical re-enactment displays are also included in the entrance fee. Film shows roughly timed on the hour.
